When it comes to home renovations, many people prioritize the living room and bedroom to ensure they’re comfortable and functional. While you might end up spending more time in these spaces on a day-to-day basis, the kitchen can add a lot of value to your home if designed the right way so it can’t be overlooked. Here are a few of our favorite must-have features that we’ve incorporated into some of our past projects:
Built-In Dining Area
It’s essential for every kitchen to have a designated space to eat and relax that way you can save your countertop space for meal prep. We love to place these near wide windows for the added benefit of enjoying the sunrise as you drink your morning coffee. This can also serve as the perfect spot for the kids to get their homework done after school.
Walk-In Pantry
This is a great option for any aspiring chef and provides a lot of benefits from an organizational standpoint. By being able to keep many of your groceries stored out of sight it will reduce clutter both on your countertops and in your cabinets. Plus, it adds versatility for bigger items that don’t fit in your cabinets.
Beverage Fridge
Especially now that we’re heading into those hot summer months, every home needs to have ice-cold drinks handy. This allows for easy grab-and-go access while also freeing up space in your regular fridge for all of your other groceries.
Wall Oven
The most obvious advantage of this design is you’ll no longer have to bend over to check on or take your food out of the oven. Additionally, this creates a better flow for the kitchen and prevents crowding because you can put your other appliances on the other side of the room.
