Staircase
There are so many ways to get creative when it comes to your staircases especially in split level conversations. Most people are familiar with the traditional straight design which features no change in direction, but “L” or “U” shaped options feature a landing that breaks up different flights. If you’re adventurous you can take it back in time with a spiral staircase but be careful because while this may look great on paper, they’re not as practical or easy to navigate. In terms of accessorizing, adding iron balusters to the railing can be another nice upgrade to add an extra dimension.
Kitchen Island
The kitchen is one of the most important investments in any home and the keystone to a great kitchen is an island. Aside from looking great, islands provide a lot of benefits. First, it serves as additional seating which makes for a convenient gathering place for kids to do homework or when extended family or friends come over to visit.
